In this post I’m going to breakdown one scene from TOP GUN that to me is one of the best scenes ever that shows how an alpha male interacts with a hot girl.

This movie is considered a gem for many people studying attractive alpha male behavior.

There is a ton of value to get from this movie because it has moments where you get to see exactly how certain social dynamics play out, maverick is the alpha male, he is a the champ, he is the one that gets the hot girl, he is the one that wins against his rival iceman, you can also see how other characters play their roles as well, for example Goose, Mavericks sidekick.

I might do more breakdowns of scenes in this movie, but right now I’m going to breakdown just one, the best one in my opinion. So let’s begin.

Charlotte or Charlie the girl tells Maverick that what he is thinking is a little too aggressive.

And the way she says it is like a little test, she wants to see his reaction. This moment is very important, because right now there’s some tension in there.

Whenever two people are interacting there’s going to be discrepancies in opinion, this produces tension in the frame, and these moments are great opportunities to really spark attraction with girls.

This moment is going to set a particular dynamic between the two.

If Maverick is like ooh is too aggressive ok, maybe you are right. I should try to be a little more careful, then the tension in the frame is dissipated and is dissipated by him, he let her frame penetrate his reality, and the girl immediately concludes that he is not an alpha male that has the strong winner genes that she is looking for.

All very important and super attractive alpha qualities that are being subcommunicated to the girl, right at this moment.

Although this looks simple, it is not simple at all, most men will not be able to do this, because to be able to build this frame with a very hot girl you need to have this attractive subcommunications, and most men are very insecure, their lives suck, they suck, and they cannot handle the tension specially with a very attractive girl.

But of course if you are studying this actively you can begin moving in that direction and get a whole lot better as times passes.

Then he delivers the line: Yeah I guess when I see something, I go right after it.
And notice also the steady laser eye contact that he gives her.

This statement is extremely powerful, and by the way I’ve watched certain pickup artists out there on YouTube that use this line when doing cold approach, even though they call themselves NATURALS and say they don’t use lines.

This line is powerful specially when delivered like Maverick here, why?

Because it tells the girl that he is a real man. That his frame is super strong, that he has HUGE BALLS.

A lot of men still believe that being alpha has something to do with physical appearance how big or how physically strong a man is, but it has nothing to do with it, being an alpha male has to do with what you are watching go down in this clip.

Also he is able to communicate his sexual intent to the girl very clearly, this is something very difficult to do because when we are growing up we go through so many traumatic shit regarding our sexuality that a lot of men have HUGE problems owning that sexual aggressive I want to fuck the shit out of you and I’m not ashamed of it, part of themselves.

That’s why when practicing pick up actively you want to go out and start using statements of intent proactively to unlock that sexual intent so it can shine fully and naturally with no blocks with no interference, but at first if you are super shy is going to be very awkward.

So after he drops this comment then Charlotte is the one that breaks the tension by looking away because the frame of Maverick was stronger, you could see it in the intensity of his eye contact he was very certain of what he was doing and was able to hold it, and the girl likes it, girls love this type of interactions with men, because they like to be around alpha males, strong man that at the same type are playful, they are intense and at the same time fun. What else can a girl ask for.

Then he is like you were tempted to ask me out for dinner. And the huge smile at the end.

This is a very well-known attraction technique in the pickup world; this is known as flipping the script.

He is framing himself as the price, this is something that girls do to guys all of the time, that’s why is called flipping the script.

This is something that I’ve talked about in the attraction Formulas one of my programs, this is an attraction formula because is something that works pretty much just like an equation, you use interpretation, to interpret things in the interaction with a girl, in a way that sets her as the one chasing you.

Everything that she does could be interpreted as if she was hitting on you, as if she wanted to take you to bed. I no longer think about this techniques anymore, but for a phase in my life I started using them and they produced results, but the key is the subcommunications and this is the most difficult part to master because this comes from the inside.

Things like confidence for example, if you don’t have it, you will not be able to fake it for too long and your frame will break.

Then she is like no, I don’t date students, now notice that the girl is also playing THE GAME.

She is aware of what is going on, and she is also good at this she is flirting, they are flirting they are going back and forth, this is important because this frames the girl as a hot girl as a very high quality girl, as every man wants a high value girl, if the girl would fall to easily for Mavericks frame she then would lose a lot of value, and in Mavericks perception he would start to see her as easy, and for this to be one great relationship both have to be high value.

Maverick then delivers another line. Moves forward assuming a win.

He didn’t took her reply that she doesn’t date students seriously and gave up of course not, but it is important to take notice of this, because in real life most men stop trying and retreat after the most minimal sign of rejection, even when is not a real rejection like this one in the movie they take it as a real rejection, because their frame is weak and they are very anxious and insecure they don’t really know how valuable they are and so they have a lot of doubt and this comes across in their interactions with girls as interpreting a lot of things in a very negative way.

So Maverick keeps going delivers another line, and he is having fun all throughout this interaction, he is smiling his state doesn’t change, it does not crashing, this is important, you should be able to stay icy non-reactive and keep feeling great having fun no matter what the girl says.

And then the girl invites him for dinner.

Why?

Because she wants to mate with him.

Why?

Because she wants some alpha male DNA to mix with her own DNA, and in this way keep the species going strong for generations to come.

At the end it all comes down to confidence, because you can know all the little tricks and techniques but without this deep inner unshakable confidence NOTHING is going to work.
